Granada - the trip there...

So this is a 'panorama' shot with me new camera of the train station. Today we're off to Granada!

Granada was the last Muslim stronghold that Ferdinand and Isabella took over. I thought that since there were so many photos I'd break it up a bit and so these will just be our trip there...

Just outside of Malaga....

Granada is a lot 'higher' altitude-wise than Malaga and the coast, so here the mountains are starting to appear....

Very beautiful, eh?!

More and more mountains....

Little Spanish town along the way...

I watched a documentary about how the Americas changed Spain as well....the settlers in the Americas were used to Spanish products like wine, olives, etc., but often couldn't grow them in the Americas, so suddenly the south of Spain turned into HUGE olive plantations for 'American' consumption...I thought that was interesting....

Getting close....the whole area around Granada looked 'Utah-ish' to me....high, dry plains with farms and then surrounded by mountains....

See what I mean?

And we made it! Here is the Bullring of Granada....

And off there in the distance is what EVERYONE comes to Granada for - la Alhambra!
