So Catt brought us to 'the Valley of a Thousand Hills' to see a Zulu cultural village and dances....twill be exciting....
Even with the rotten weather look how beautiful it is....

Dressing the girls up in the local finery...I don't even know if that is how you're supposed to wear them....it just seemed right though ;)

Catt heading into the first 'women's hut'....

Here this Zulu woman showed us how she makes meal from maize/corn....
She wears her hat as a symbol of her being married. Apparently she covers her breasts as well because she is married, but our guide said that 'single Zulu women are proud of their breasts and do not hide them'....ah oh....

Here is the 'men's hut'....women and men sit separated on different sides of the hut....

It was interesting to hear how Zulu culture really is....a 'division of labor' between the sexes....the men hunt...the women cook...the women have to make the floor and sides of the house, the men do the roof....
It was just interesting....

Let the show begin!

It was really fun...they told a story about a man who likes a girl, so he promises to pay the bride price of 11 cows...the girl wanted nothing to do with him until she heard he had 11 cows and then suddenly she 'loved' him....hilarious....
Here the man is at the fortuneteller. He's very happy when he hears that his fiancee will have 4 children....

Here are Zulu men dancing....there is a WHOLE lot of kicking in Zulu dances...reminds me of African-American dancing from the 1920's....

What a view! What a view! What a view!

Thankfully it was too cold so the proud, single Zulu women wore shirts ;)
hahaha....

My friend Maria on the right's nickname is 'Gypsy' cuz she's always trying to read my palm, so it was NO surprise when she wanted to get her photo taken with the fortuneteller...
